✔️ A genuine passion for sustainability
This is an opportunity to work for an award-winning environmental organisation that is gaining significant media and political interest. If that sounds like you and you’re interested in hearing more, we’d love to hear from you.
The organisation
Material Focus is an independent, not for profit organisation on a mission to stop electricals being hoarded and thrown away, and ensure they’re reused and recycled instead. We fund technical research on the barriers to recycling; work with partners to improve the current systems; and encourage and make it easier for people to change their behaviour through our award-winning UK campaign ‘Recycle Your Electricals’.
Recycle Your Electricals campaign
We throw away small electricals without even thinking about it, or perhaps we consider it but we’re too busy, and what would we do with it anyway? We need to stop people in their tracks, and give them a reason to think about it, talk about it, and do the right thing. We want to clarify what people should do, motivate them and make it mentally easier for them to act through a mix of behavioural interventions which we’ll be testing – like new kerbside recycling schemes, schools education & collection programs, and office collection trials.
One of our friendly team will be happy to help.
