Between 2020 and 2025 we funded three pilots across the UK, which collected more than 222,400 vapes for recycling between them.
This guide draws directly on practical insights from Oxfordshire’s vape recycling pilot. They introduced bins at household waste recycling centres, ran kerbside collections for thousands of homes, and tested dozens of public drop-off points. Oxfordshire alone recycled over 100,000 vapes in a year.
